Kinetica Gets $6M For GPU-Accelerated In-Memory Databases

San Francisco-based Kinetica, which develops GPU-accelerated database software, has raised $6M in funding, the company disclosed this week. The company said the funding came from Ray Lane (Oracle, KPCB), who also invested $7M in its initial funding in April. The company says it has now raised $13M in total. Kinetica was formerl known as GPUdb; the company's software was initially devleoped for the US Army Intelligence and Security Command. Kinetica is led by Amit Vij. More information »
