Plaid Adds Citi, American Express As Investors

San Francisco-based fintech infrastructure startup Plaid said on Tuesday that Citi Ventures and American Express Ventures have participated as part of its $44M, Series B funding round. The investments by the two were included in the round, but not previously announced. The Series B was led by Goldman Sachs Investment Partners. The company is led by CEO Zach Perret, and offers up infrastructure which lets other fintech startup build their own applications, connecting to bank accounts and other financial data.
