Tethys Bioscience Gets Series C Funding

Emeryville-based Tethys Bioscience said today that it has raised a Series C funding round from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and MDV-Mohr Davidow Ventures. The firm did not disclose specific amount of the investment, but said that the new round brings its total raise to a total of $54M in funding. Tethys is developing biomarker technology for determining an individual's risk for diabetes. Kleiner and MDV are both prior investors in the firm. More information »
