Trov Gets $45M To Insure Your Gadgets

San Francisco-based Trov, a startup which lets consumers insure their electronics, cameras, and other gadgets using their smartphone, has raised $45M in a Series D funding round, the company announced this morning. The funding was led by Munich Re / HSB Ventures. The company said all of its Series C investors, including Oak HC/FT, Suncorp Group, Guidewire, and Anthemis participated in the funding. Insurer Sompo Holdings (SOMPO) also participated. Scott Walchek is CEO and Founder of Trov.
