UploadVR Raises $1.25M For Virtual Reality News

San Francisco-based UploadVR, an online news provider and meetup organizer focused on virtual reality, has raised $1.25M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Shanda Grpup, a Chinese venture investor led by videogame veteran Tianqiao Chen. The funding also included Joe Kraus (Google Ventures), Philip Rosedale (founder of Second Life), Tony Parisi (VRML) Greg Casstle (Oculus), and Sunny Dhillon (SignaVC).
