Verbit Finds $11M For AI Powered Transcripts

Palo Alto-based Verbit, a developer of artificial intelligence software used to automatically transcribe text from video and audio, has raised $11M in a seed funding round, the company said this week. The funding was led by HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, Vertex Ventures and Oryzn Capital. Verbit's founders are Tom Livne (CEO), Eric Shellef (CTO) and Kobi Ben-Tzvi (VP of Engineering). The company said it is targeting such professional markets as the legal, education media resources, and medical areas with its software. More information »
