Wearhaus Gets $4M For Synchronized Bluetooth Headphones
Did you ever wish you could synchronize your headphones with your BFF, or you wanted to share that show or movie you were watching on your laptop with all your friends--without disturbing people around you? Berkeley-based Werehaus has the solution for you--a new Bluetooth headphone called the Wearhaus Arc, which lets multiple people tap into the same sound source, wirelessly. The company said today that it raised $4M in a Series A funding and released its products into general availability. The funding was led by Tellus International, and also included Xiaoxiang Capital and China Southern Media. Wearhouse was founded by Richie Zeng and Nelson Zhang, two former UC Berkeley engineering students who left school early to pursue their startup; Zhang was a Thiel Fellow, and the company was part of the Highway 1 incubator.
