Zipcar Grabs $21M More

Zipcar, the car sharing service which has San Francisco as one of its primary cities, said today that it has scored $21M in a Series G funding round, from Meritech Capital Partners and Pinnacle Ventures. The firm said the funding will go towards working capital and to fund fleet growth. The new funding for Zipcar comes just days after an alternative car sharing service, RelayRides, set up shop in San Francisco with funding in hand from Google and August Capital. Like ZipCar, RelayRides roots are in Cambridge, where it was founded. More information »
