Menlo Park-based DFJ Element, a venture capital fund focused on clean technology, said today that it has raised $284M for its fund. The fund was formed by Element Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. DFJ Element said that Lehman Brothers Private Fund Marketing Group served as the exclusive global placement agent for the fund. Existing investments by the fund include CoalTek, Fat Spaniel Technologies, Miartech, and EcoSMART Technologies. The fund said that LPs include CalPERS, Swiss Re, Coca Cola, ITT, Robeco, LA City Employees Retirement System, WP Global, and British Airways.
