Tesla Rolls Out Leasing Option

is looking to spur more purchases of the Roadster and Roadster Sport, saying today that it has launched a new option to lease the electric cars. Tesla said that customers can now take delivery of new 2010 Roadster or Roadster Sport autos with monthly payments starting at $1,658 for a three mile, 30,000 mile contract. Tesla said $12,453 will be due at signing for the lease, including the first month's payment and a $9,900 down payment and $895 acquisition fee.
