Twitter said today that it has acquired
Smallthought Systems, the developer of online project tracking database firm
Dabble DB. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Twitter, it acquired Smallthought due to the firm's "frequent contributions" to the Ruby and Smalltalk development communities, and to bolster its analytics team. Smallthought founders Avi Bryant, Andrew Catton, Ben Matasar, and Luke Andrews have joined Twitter as part of the buy. Smallthought is also developer of the Trendly tool, which helps web sites sort through Google Analytics data.
