First Round's Herron Joins Intel Capital

Christine Herron, a venture capitalist at First Round Capital, said Wednesday that she is departing the firm to join Intel Capital. According to Herron, she will drive consumer and Internet deals for Intel in the Bay Area, and deepen Intel's exposure to early-stage opportunities. Herron said, in a blog post, that the move would give her "more chances to work with the best entrepreneurs, and better odds that I'll be part of something meaningful."
