VeriSign Completes GeoTrust Acquisition
Mountain View-based VeriSign has completed its $125M acquisition of GeoTrust, the firm said Tuesday. GeoTrust is a provider of identity verification and network security solutions. GeoTrust provides SSL certificates used by web sites and other providers for identity verification, and is based in Massachusetts. GeoTrust was backed by Castile Ventures, St. Paul Venture Capital, Prism Venture Partners, and WI Harper Group.
