Pt. Richmond-based TransOral Pharmaceuticals said Tuesday that it has raised $40M in a Series D funding. The funding came from New Enterprise Associates, which led the round, and also included New Leaf Venture Partners, Montreux Equity Partners, InterWest Partners, Hamilton BioVentures, Vivo Ventures, and Peninsula Equity Partners. The funding will go towards development of the firm's treatment for insomnia.
