Microsoft Buys Tellme Networks
Microsoft said this afternoon that it is acquiring Tellme Networks, a Mountain View, California-based firm that provides 411, voice enabled directory, mobile search, and other services. Financial terms were not disclosed by Microsoft, however widespread press coverage places the deal around $800M. Microsoft said today that Tellme will operate as a part of its Microsoft Business Division. Tellme employs more than 320 employees, and will continue to operate from its Mountain View headquarters.
