Artificial Muscle Gets $20M
Menlo Park-based Artificial Muscle announced that it has raised $20M in a Series B funding. The funding came from AllianceBernstein L.P., and also included existing investors Arch Venture Partners, NGEN Partners, and Vanguard Ventures. Other invetors in the round include Micron Techology, Parker Hannifin Corporation, and Chevron Technology Ventures. Artificial Muscle is developing actuator components based on electroactive polymers.
