MetaMind Gets $8M For Artificial Intelligence Efforts
Palo Alto-based MetaMind has raised $8M in a funding round, for the company's artificial intelligence platform. The funding came from Khosla Ventures and Marc Benioff of Salesforce.com. MetaMind said it is developing "deep learning" software which combines natural language processing and computer vision to solve a wide range of data problems. The company is led by Sven Strohband.
