San Jose-based deCarta, which provides services for the location-based services industry, said this moring that it has raised $15M in a Series C-1 expansion round. Funding was led by Norwest Venture Partners, an existing investor in the firm. deCarta said that Mobius Venture Capital and Cardinal Venture Capital, also prior investors, also participated in the funding round. deCarta develops location based software used by Google, Ask.com, Verizon, Sprint, and others for providing mapping, routing, and location based search.
