Cisco Acquires Cognio
San Jose-based Cisco said Tuesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cognio, a Germantown, MD-based maker of wireless spectrum analysis and management products. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cisco said that the deal is expected to close in the firm's 2008 fiscal year, and that it will integrate Cognio into its Wireless Networking Business Unit under its Ethernet and Wireless Technology Group.
