Menlo Park-based Krugle, which provides source code search engine technology, said today that IBM will use the firm's Syndicated Code Search technology on its web site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. IBM will use the firm's search engine technology to make it easier for developers to find source code on IBM's developerWorks site. Krugle's search engine technology is used to search for source code, and includes both an online service for open source projects as well as an enterprise version for use within companies. The firm is venture backed by Rustic Canyon Partners, Emergence Capital Partners, First Round Capital, and Omidyar Network.
