VeriSilicon Pulls In $20M In Series D
Santa Clara- and Shanghai-based VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd., which develops system-on-a-chip (SoC) IC designs, said Tuesday that it has raised $20M in a Series D funding. The round came from China Investment Fund (CIF), VantagePoint Venture Partners, Austin Ventures, Sierra Ventures, and CID. VeriSilicon said the funding will go towards accelerating its research and development. The company said it has design centers in Santa Clara, Dallas, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Taipei, Tokyo, Nice and Seoul. The firm last raised a round of funding in July of last year, worth $14.8M. China Investment Fund is a joint venture of IBM and Lehman Brothers.
