Santa Clara-based Macrovision Corporation said Tuesday that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire All Media Guide Holdings, a provider of databases and metadata for the entertainment industry. Ann Arbor, Michigan-based All Media Guide's products provide information on music, movies, and games, including reviews, biographies, images, titles, and other information. The firm's data is used by Internet retailers and others to provide information on products for sale. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed; Macrovision said the deal is subject to review under Hart-Scott-Rodino, and is expected to close by the end of the year.
