Teradyne Buys Nextest For $325M
Teradyne, a company which develops semiconductor testing equipment, said Wednesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire San Jose-based Nexttest. Nextest is a manufacturer of flash memory testing products. According to Teradyne, Nextest had $95.8M in revenue for calendar year 2006. The deal is expected to close in Q1 of 2008, after which Nextest will become a business unit in Teradyne's Semiconductor Test Division.
