Intel Capital has funded two firms, InfoServer Informatica, based in Brazil, and Innowireless, based in South Korea. InfoServer Informatica is a provider of IT services, and provides its services to financial, retail and manufacturing companies. Intel said that the investment in InfoServer Informatica would help speed up the adoption of the segment in Brazil and speed up the adoption of new technologies. Amount of that investment was not given however Intel said the funding date for InfoServer Informatica was October 31st and came out of Intel Capital Brazil Technology Fund. South Korean firm Innowireless received $8M from Intel, in a deal that closed in November. Innowireless develops wireless test and measurement products in the area of WiMax, and is working with Intel on WiMax deployment in Korea.
