Palo Alto-based venture capital firm ComVentures, and Los Angeles-based Velocity, the investment firm headed by Fox Interactive Media's former head, Ross Levinsohn and former AOL Chairman Jonathan Miller, said they have merged. The two have created Velocity Interactive Group, which will focus on seed, early stage, and growth investments in the digital media and communications area. According to the company the firm has made a number of investments in the U.S. and India over the past year, including Indian broadcasters NDTV Networks and IndiaTV, and in U.S. firms Fabrik, Doppelganger, and MixerCast.
