Netflix Offers Unlimited Movie Streaming
Los Gatos-based Netflix said today that it is now offering unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows to Netflix subscribers on its unlimited rental plans. According to Netflix, those users will now be able to stream as many movie and TV episodes they want on to their PCs, with no additional fee. The unlimited streaming plan replaces an earlier, metered service which provided different number of hours of streaming based on subscription level. The move to unlimited streaming comes in response to Apple's expected entry into the movie rental business with iTunes; Apple is expected to announce a movie rental service tomorrow at MacWorld.
