PlanetOut Looks For Buyer
San Francisco-based PlanetOut said Monday evening that it has retained investment bank Allen & Company to evaluate "strategic alternatives" and look at possible sale of the firm. The firm, which provides online content for the gay and lesbian market, said in conjunction with the announcement that it will no longer provide quarterly or annual earnings guidance, or quarterly earnings calls. The firm did not give a reason for the move.
