Fabrik Buys G-Technology
San Mateo-based storage firm Fabrik has purchased G-Technology, a Los Angeles-based maker of disk drive products for the Apple Macintosh market. Fabrik announced the acquisition Tuesday, but did not disclose terms of the deal. G-Technology develops RAID systems used for Mac or PC systems. Fabrik said it paid cash and stock for G-Technology. The deal follows Fabrik's February 2007 acquisition of SimpleTech's consumer business, which also developed storage devices for the computer market. Fabrik is venture backed by 3i Ventures, Intel Capital, and Velocity Interactive (formerly Comventures).
