Fabrik Acquired By Hitachi
San Mateo-based Fabrik, a manufacturer of flash memory, USB hard drives, memory upgrades, and other data storage products and services, has been acquired by data storage firm Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hitachi said that Fabrik CEO and co-founder, Mike Cordano, will become part of Hitachi GST's executive management team. Hitachi said it will create a new, external storage business made up of Fabrik's products. Fabrik was venture backed by 3i and ComVentures.
