SMART Modular Technologies Acquires Adtron
Fremont-based SMART Modular Technologies, a manufacturer of memory modules and embedded computers, said Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire Adtron Corporation, a designer of solid state flash disk drives. The deal was worth $20M in cash, plus up to $15M in earnout. SMART Modular provides DRAM, SRAM, Flash Memory, embedded computing subsystems, and thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays to OEMs.
