Federated Media Adds Sponsored Mobile Post Feature
Sausalito-based Federated Media Publishing, which represents online publishers and blogs to advertisers, said Thursday that it has rolled out a sponsored "mobile post" feature. The feature allows web site authors in its network to post multimedia content, including voice posts and audio clips. According to Federated Media, the new feature will be sponsored by Microsoft Windows Mobile and tied into Microsoft's Live Search Maps feature. Financial details of the sponsorship were not disclosed. Federated Media represents sites such as Boing Boing, VentureBeat, Duct Tape Marketing, and others. Federated Media is headed by John Batelle.
