Federated Media Sold To Television Media Operator
San Francisco-based Federated Media Publishing, the online blog advertising broker which helps place advertising and sponsorship from brands and agencies on blog and online publishing sites, has been sold to television operator LIN Media. FInancial terms of the sale were not disclosed. Federated Media said that, along with the sale, it is spinning off the business it acquired from Lijit Networks as a new company, Sovrn. Federated Media was founded by John Batelle. LIN Media owns a large portfolio of local television stations nationwide.
