Sunnyvale-based Ubicom, which develops software for the communications and hardware market, said today that it has raised a fourth round of funding worth $18M. The funding was led by Lehman Brothers Venture Partners and Samsung Venture Investment Corporation. Ubicom said unnamed existing existing investors also participated in the round. Brian Melton of Lehman Brothers will join the company's board of directors. Ubicom's software is used in wireless routers, access points, digital photo frames, and other networking products.
