San Francisco-based Bleacher Report said Tuesday that it has raised a first round of funding from Hillsven Capital, a partnership of Bobby Lent and Boris Putanec, former co-founders of Ariba Inc, along with other investors. The firm is developing a wiki-based, online sports community fan site. Other investors in the firm include Transcoast Capital, Vimeo founder Jakob Lodwick, and other unnamed angel investors.
