LSI Concludes Buy of Infineon Hard Drive Business
Integrated circuit manufacturer LSI Corp. announced Monday that it has concluded its purchase of Infineon Technologies AG's hard disk drive semiconductor business. LSI originally reported its intention to purchase Infineon on March 10, three days after signing a definitive agreement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. During its original statement, LSI explained that the acquisition should result in immediate business from one of its top-tier customers, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. LSI Corp. is headquartered in Milpitas, Calif.
