Merriman Curhan Ford Hires Newell
San Francisco-based Merriman Curhan Ford, an investment banking and research firm, said Wednesday that it has hired Timothy Newell to head up a new CleanTech Strategy Group. Newell joins the firm from DFJ Element, the clean technology fund operated by Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Newell has also served at E*Offering, Robertson Stephens & Co., New Resource Bank, and was formerly a technology advisor to the Clinton Administration.
