Kleiner Perkins Adds Partner
Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers said Monday that it has added Sun Microsystems' John Gage as a Partner at the firm. Gage was most recently Chief Researcher and VP of Sun's Science Office. According to Kleiner, Gage will provide counsel to the firms’ global network of entrepreneurs, scientists, academics and government leaders. Gage was behind NetDay, the volunteer project which helps school, libraries, and clincics connect to the Internet.
