Cortina Systems Acquires Storm Semiconductor
Sunnyvale-based Cortina Systems has acquired Mountain View-based Storm Semiconductor, a developer of embedded network processing technology, the companies said Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Cortina, it will use the acquisition to expand its products to the digital home market. Storm Semiconductor's software is used in networking home digital media equipment.
