Sunnyvale-based Fortinet said Tuesday that it has acquired the assets of IPLocks, a provider of database security products and technologies. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Fortinet, which develops threat management software, said that it will use the acquisition to braoden its network security porfolio. According to the firm, the deal covers IPLocks' vulnerability assessment tool, source code, and related physical assets, as well as a license to IPLocks' database monitoring and auditing tools.
