Intersil Acquires D2Audio
Milpitas-based Intersil Corporation said Monday afternoon that it has acquired a maker of digital amplifier ICs, D2Audio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. D2Audio, which is based in Austin, Texas, develops digital audio power amplifiers used for consumer, commercial, automotive and professional audio applications. Intersil said that it expects the impact of the acquisition to be immaterial on its third quarter and full year 2008 earnings.
