Salesforce.com Buys InStranet
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com has just acquired InStranet, a provider of knowledge management software for business to cosumer call centers. The deal was worth approximately $31.5 million. Chicago-based InstraNet's products are used for managing call centers agents and support processes. According to Salesforce.com, the move will go to bolster is Salesforce CRM Customer Service & Support offering. Although the firm's headquaters are in Chicago, the bulk of InstraNet's operations are in Paris, France.
