hi5, Widgetbox Link On Widgets
San Francisco-based Widgetbox, which operates an online site focused on web widget software, said today that it has linked up with online social networking site hi5. According to Widgetbox, hi5 will include widgets created by Widgetbox users. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Widgetbox, hi5 has opened up its App Gallery to widgets created by the Widgetbox community, tapping the firm's OpenSocial API support for the additions. Widgetbox is venture backed by Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, NCD Partners, and Sequoia Capital.
