RockYou Raises $17M
Redwood City-based social applications creator RockYou said Monday that it has raised an additional $17M in investment, from SoftBank and SK Telecom Ventures. According to the firm, the strategic investment brings it total raised to $67M. The firm said the new round will go to help the firm expand in the Asia-Pacific market, as well as to open offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit. RockYou has also previously scored funding from DCM, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Partech International and Sequoia Capital.
