Comscore: Black Friday Sales Up
comScore reported Sunday that e-commerce sales on Black Friday totaled $534M, up 1 percent from last year, as the firm continues to report on online holiday spending. The firm, which measures Internet sales and traffic, said that for the season, $10.41 billion has been spent online, a roughly 4-percent decline from last year. The report--which tracks spending since November 1st--also found that there was a six percent increase in Thanksgiving Day sales for online retailers. Today is "Cyber Monday," which traditionally has been the biggest sales day for online retailers, as consumers get into work and use their high speed Internet connections for holiday shopping.
