Meez Merges, Gets Funding
San Francisco-based Meez, an online social networking and avatar site, said Wednesday that it has merged with Pulse Entertainment, Inc., a provider of avatar messaging services. Financial terms of the merger were not announced. Meez also said it has raised a financing round from Anthem Venture Partners. Size of that round was not disclosed. Pulse's CEO, Paul Anderson, has been named President of Meez, and Anthem Venture Partners' Brian Mesic joins the company's board.
