Google Earth Adds Ocean
Search engine giant Google said Monday morning that the firm has launched the newest version of its 3D mapping software, Google Earth, and has significantly expanded the imagery in the product with the addition of the Earth's oceans. According to the firm, it has added a detailed bathymetric map of the ocean floor in 3D to the software. In addition to the ocean imaging, Google said it has also added historical imagery, ability to share fly-by tours, and 3D Mars imagery and terrain to the software.
