Computer accessory manufacturer Logitech International reported Sunday that Werner Heid has joined the company as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Logitech said the 49-year-old will direct its retail sales in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions while also managing worldwide sales to OEM customers. Heid will report directly to Gerald P. Quindlen, Logitech's president and chief executive officer, the company noted. Prior to accepting the Logitech position, Heid spent five years as president and CEO of Iomega Corp. Before that, Logitech added, he was executive vice president of global sales and marketing for InFocus Corp. Founded in 1981 and based in Switzerland, Logitech's U.S. headquarters are located in Fremont.
