Aquantia Names New President, CEO
Aquantia Corp., a manufacturer of 10GBASE-T networking semioonductors, reported Monday that it has hired Faraj Aalaei as president and chief executive officer. The Milpitas, Calif.-based company said Aalaei was appointed by its board of directors and succeeds founding president and CEO Phil Delansay, who will serve as vice president of business development. Aalaei has also received a seat on the board of directors, Aquantia said. Prior to joining Aquantia, the company added, Aalaei was CEO of Centillium Communications, which was recently acquired by TranSwitch. Aquantia is a privately held company backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, VentureTech Alliance and Pinnacle Ventures.
