Aquantia Buys 10GBASE-T Assets From PLX

, which develops 10 Gigabit Ethernet semiconductors, reported this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the 10GBASE-T assets of
PLX Technology
. Financial temrs of the buy were not disclosed. Aquantia said those 10GBASE-T assets originally were developed by Teranetics, which were acquired by PLX in October of 2010. As part of the deal, Aquantia said a "significant" number of engineers will join the company as part of the transaction. PLX Technology is based in Sunnyvale.
