Axcient Gains $6M For Data Protection Product
Mountain View-based Axcient, a developer of software as a service for data protection and business continuity, announced today that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding round. The round came from Allegis Capital and Peninsula Ventures. According to Axcient, the funding will go to grow operations and sales and marketing. Axcient said it is creating a software-as-a-service, data backup and recovery service created specifically for small and medium businesses.
